I didn’t set out to be a consultant. I became the person people called when things weren’t working.
Most businesses don’t need more advice. They need clarity. They need structure. They need someone who can step in and help them move forward.
Twenty years inside the rooms where the decisions get made.
Why Businesses Trust The Happy Thesis Co.
Built operational systems for field service companies
Proven SOP implementations saving clients thousands per month
GTM strategy, AI implementation, and sales process design
For over 20 years, I worked inside high-growth tech companies and large global organizations, carrying annual quotas in the millions, working on statewide deals that had to pass through legislation, and partnering with some of the largest K-12 school districts on the West Coast to help them adopt and implement new systems tied to real, measurable goals.
I spent years traveling across the country, speaking at conferences, running events and booths, working directly with decision-makers. The teams I worked alongside were some of the best in the world, people from places like Harvard, Stanford, Yale, and beyond. And together, we built things that did not exist yet: new products, new markets, from nothing into meaningful, lasting contracts.
It’s not a one-person operation.
Three people, three different strengths, one standard for how the work gets done.

Former infantry Marine and academic scholarship recipient at the University of Oregon — top 1% of his graduating class, all AP coursework. These days he builds and fixes the tech behind The Happy Thesis. When he’s not building, he’s either jumping out of a plane for fun or sparring at the MMA gym. Some days it’s hard to say which fight is harder — the one in the cage, or the one with a stubborn glitch.

Rome handles outbound invoicing and client communications — the stuff most small businesses either fall behind on or overpay for. If your company sends bills and doesn’t have someone dedicated to it, Rome does it for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire. Off the clock, he’s the one who talked Skylar into bungee jumping for a team-building trip.

If someone owes you money, Michelle is the one who chases it down — ten years into a process nobody else quite matches. She works with the whimsy of a fairy and the commitment of someone running with the bulls. Off the clock, she’s chasing something gentler: nature, hiking, and more nature.

And yes — that’s me too. You’ve already heard my story above; these are just the passport stamps. Desert treks in Morocco, geysers in Iceland, and apparently no shortage of ways to end up somewhere unexpected.
Different rooms. Same instincts.
Before tech, I worked in real estate, something that runs deep in my family. Different pressures, different pace, same need to read people and close the gap between where things are and where they need to be.
Today, I also trade the markets daily as a retail trader. Different environment, same discipline: understanding people, making decisions, and executing with clarity.
I chose to do this because I want to help people, not by handing over a report and walking away, but by actually stepping in and helping businesses get clear, get structured, and move forward.
Whether you’re starting something new or growing what you’ve built.
Business owners who are ready
Feel stuck or overwhelmed. Know their business has more potential. Are ready to implement real change. Want a partner who can think and execute.
Execution, not just advice
I don’t just give advice. I step in, understand how your business actually works, and help you fix what’s not working, because ideas don’t grow businesses. Execution does.
What it looks like in practice.
“When we lost our long time employee, we lost company knowledge and the ability to continue business. Scott and his team stepped in to support our staff of 16. They supported us in ways we did not even know existed and it’s helped build amazing employee engagement. What their tech team has done to update our SEO and web presence has been game changing. Highly recommend.”
“The Happy Launch was perfect to get us set up. We had checks in hand and needed to get documentation to open our bank for the business. The Happy Thesis team put it all together for us in a matter of days. They took the time to explain everything and went above and beyond taking care of our extra questions.”
“Scott was amazing to work with. We had no idea where to begin and we really just wanted it done correctly. He did a great job of explaining what was happening and helping us understand what comes next. We just opened for business! Thank you!”
This started with getting people wrong.
Misread rooms. Misjudged conversations. Thought I understood what someone cared about — and didn’t.
Buckets and Motivations is a practical way to understand people faster, communicate more clearly, and avoid the mistakes most of us don’t even notice we’re making. Founders’ release dropping soon.
